This cute dish is made of Kawatsura lacquerware, a traditional craft of Kawatsura-cho, Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture.
It is a design from the Showa period.
It has the mark of Maruzen, Yuzawa Daicho.
Three types: “Sledding”, “Winter Life”, and “Parent and Child in the Snow”.

Kawatsure lacquerware features bowls and other items made using the traditional drying method in which the wood is ground domestically and the features are smoked.
The slow drying of the wood at low temperatures while being exposed to the smoke reduces distortion and distortion that can cause wood cracking, and the combination of the smoke components and wood proteins strengthens the wood and has antiseptic and mothproofing effects.
