This is a karakuri wooden toy by “Kitsutsuki Toy Studio” in Toga-mura, Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture.
Two woodcutters grind a large log with a saw by pushing and pulling a stick made of bamboo.
This wooden toy is unique to Toyama Prefecture, which is blessed with magnificent nature.
Marked with the “toga” sign.

This is a work by Mr. Nintaro Nakatani, who makes karakuri toys in Toga Village.
Mr. Nakatani also runs a local toy museum, where 4,000 folk craft toys from all over Japan, 30 Toga karakuri toys, and toys from overseas are on display.
